Biography
Dr. Doo Yong Lim was born in Daegu, South Korea and moved to the United States with his family at the age of three. He grew up all over Los Angeles and Orange Counties, including Fullerton, Diamond Bar, and Chino. During his time as a student at Troy High School, Dr. Lim was mostly interested in history and literature, but ultimately decided to pursue dentistry after meeting an inspirational local dentist who truly cared for his patients.
After receiving his Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific, Dr. Lim attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, graduating in 2014. For the next five years, Dr. Lim practiced as a general dentist all over Southern California. During this time, he became interested in endodontics, and with the help of friends and mentors such as Dr. Mindo Lee, completed his residency training at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California in 2021.
Dr. Lim is happy to call Koreatown his home, while regularly visiting Orange County to visit his family and attend church. His favorite activities include hiking, discovering new restaurants, and staying home.

What is your main focus when working with new patients?
“Much like dating and marriage, meeting the right dentist can change your life. I like to think of myself as a one-time babysitter, allowing the patient and his or her dentist to achieve fantastic results while taking care of the little ones (root canals). Let me help you with your dental goals!”
