I was referred to Los Angeles Center for Endodontics for an emergency root canal during the quarantine. They were quick to set up an appointment with me and were very clear about my insurance coverage and copay. Dr. Stephen Park was kind and quick with the procedure. The root canal was painless and the atmosphere of the office and staff definitely made the experience more manageable! It’s been two days since the root canal and I am pain-free. Thank you LA Center for Endodontics! I highly recommend this office if you are in need of a root canal.

Dr. Mindo Lee he is a angel come from the heaven. I am very thankful with him because he open my eyes today and took away all the fear and panic I have on me since I was a child. I wasn't even a regular patient of him and he went out of her way to help me in my panic mode. You can bet I am now her regular patient. Thanks Dr. Mindo Lee

Just had my root canal therapy today and I was so happy with the service they gave me! From the time I called for my appointment, I got scheduled right away and was really taken care of by the team. Connie the front desk was so accommodating and helpful with all my questions and concerns since I don't have dental insurance and my first time having an emergency treatment here in the US! Also Richard kept me calm and comfortable before the procedure and Dr. Stephen Park is so amazing! Very professional and knowledgeable in what he is doing. My treatment didn't have any pain at all with the expertise and skill he does! No wonder they are highly rated here on yelp!

I would definitely recommend Los Angeles center for Endodontics to my friends and family. I would surely be back for other treatments.

Highly recommended overall. If I can give 10 stars here on Yelp, I would do it! Perfect 10!

Frequently Asked Questions About Emergency Root Canal Therapy

The root canal is a pulp-filled cavity in the root of your tooth. Endodontics is the area of dentistry specifically studying and treating this pulp of the tooth. Our team at Los Angeles Center for Endodontics is highly-trained in root canal therapy. In fact, in addition to dental school, Dr. Lee, Dr. Park, and Dr. Lim have years of experience in this field in particular. pride ourselves in treating root canals and traumatic injuries to the teeth with the highest quality materials.

Root canal infections will occur for a number of reasons including when:

  • Pulp has deep decay
  • The tooth has undergone multiple treatments
  • The tooth has gone through physical trauma.

Patients that experience any of the following symptoms should contact us immediately for a consultation. You may have developed a root canal infection if you experience:

  • Tooth pain when chewing
  • Prolonged sensitivity in the tooth
  • Discoloration on the tooth
  • Swelling or sensitive gums

Patients experiencing very severe pain from a root canal infection, or patients who have had part of their tooth break into the pulp, may need emergency root canal treatment. At Los Angeles Center for Endodontics, we will be happy to accommodate patients in need of urgent care in these situations. Root Canal Therapy:

For root canal therapy treatment, our endodontist enters the root canal through the crown of the tooth to remove the infected pulp and clean the inside.

Root Canal Surgery:

If the non-surgical root canal treatment isn’t sufficient, it may mean that the infection is located further down at the tip of the root. If this is the case, root canal surgery—a very minor procedure—treats the infection by entering directly at the root tip through a small incision.

Typically, patients at Los Angeles Center for Endodontics report little to no pain associated with root canal treatments. Emergency root canal treatments are often a result of severe pain. Because of this, our specialists often prescribe an appropriate amount of sedation, anesthesia, and medication to make you comfortable. Through root canal therapy our goal is to restore your oral health as quickly as possible when you visit our office.

Most patients are able to return to their everyday activities the next day after root canal treatment. You should expect the tissue around the treated area will feel sensitive.
